Ritz Motors is also gauging interest in a range-extended electric architecture where electric motors always drive the wheels and an onboard generator acts as a serviceable power plant. This is a platform research and demand signal, not an announced production specification or order date.

A smaller battery can cover short electric driving and power buffering, while onboard generation helps with long-distance range and fuel availability.

A custom spark-ignition generator could be studied as a bolt-in, replaceable power plant using a durability-focused inline-four.

LFP battery buffer

A 20-50 kWh LFP pack can buffer generator output, capture regenerative braking, and support short electric-only use.

Generator, battery pack, drive units, power electronics, and cooling can be studied as independent service modules.
